Duties and Responsibilites:
The Language lecturer is required to develop and teach the academic writing and communication skills courses. In addition, the lecturer provides services such as test scoring, tutorials for students facing problems or in need of help related to research writing, research report title approval, and development and coordination of intensive programs (e.g., the AIT Bridging Program) and workshops for AUIT degree programs as well as for external clients. In some cases, language lecturers are appointed as adjunct faculty and are engaged to teach credit-bearing courses for AIT Schools.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English with expertise in academic and technical writing
- A master’s degree in teaching language or a related field such as linguistics, or b) a master’s degree in another field, preferably an AIT field or education and a certificate in language teaching with two years experience teaching academic writing at the college level and some experience teaching research writing to postgraduate students.
- A minimum of two years experience teaching academic or technical writing at the university level (work with postgraduate students preferred).
