Program Officer (Education & Training Development)
AIT Extension partners with educational institutions and assists in their efforts to develop the capacity of faculty and staff working in types of training and educational institutions. Professional development courses, workshops and study visit programs under Education & Training Development are designed for educational managers, HRD professionals, teachers, trainers, instructional designers, subject specialists and others with responsibilities for training or education in public and private enterprises and NGOs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Program Head and Course Directors to develop, implement and evaluate short-course training and continuing professional education programs;
- Assist in preparing proposals and designing curricula;
- Plan and prepare program itineraries, select sites for field visits, lead field visits, and provide all necessary background information on the field visits;
- Plan and be responsible for logistics to support training activities, and coordinate the day-to-day operation;
- Coordinate with participants during implementation of training programs;
- Prepare internal budget of training courses and monitor financial disbursements of training projects;
- Prepare training program evaluation and completion reports
- Any other duties as assigned by Program Head and Course Director.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in educational administration, educational measurement and evaluation, higher education, educational research methodology, curriculum and instruction, or non-formal education, or a related field.
- At least 2 years working experiences in education projects/programs and trainings
- Good command of written and spoken English, must have a minimum TOEIC score of 550
- Ability to work as a team member with participants with diverse international backgrounds and willingness to learn from others and teach others
- Ability to use standard application software and internet applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsive to culture and religious differences.
