Terms of Reference Post-Doctoral Research Associate The Asian Institute of Technology, an autonomous non-profit international postgraduate institution located one hour north of Bangkok in Thailand, invites applications and nominations for a qualified post-doctoral research associate that is trained in polymer chemistry, nanocomposites and nanoparticle synthesis and testing. Specifically, the COEN at AIT needs an individual that is able to solve issues regarding lacquer coating durability and development of acrylic coatings for industrial processes. Following post-doctoral time, there is potential for employment with the sponsor (a Chinese company). |
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in polymer chemistry
- Publications that include titles related to polymers, nanoparticles and polymer-nanoparticle composite materials
- Experience in both polymer and nanoparticle synthesis
- Experience in testing nanocomposite materials (SEM, TEM, tensile, compression, hardness, glass transition, etc.)
- English language skills
The appointment is for a period of one year starting at the earliest opportunity. There is an option to renew the contract with mutual consent. The salary is competitive in the region.
