Position: Research Assistant

Location: Regional Energy Resources Information Center (an Energy Program Publications Project)

Overall Job Description: To upgrade, upscale and expand the activities of RERIC; in particular 

  • Assist in the preparations for the ICUE 2020 on Energy, Environment and Climate Change.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the Energy program publication, the International Energy journal (IEJ) with the aim of increasing the publication/articles of the IEJ
  • Assist in maintain all administrative and secretariat work for RERIC
  • To work on initiating new activities for RERIC
  • To assist in other related tasks that the faculty members of the Energy Program may assign

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of organizing international conference and workshops
  • Help in coordinating with faculty and others for data collection on specific themes
  • Assist in the publication of the International Energy Journal
  • Create and maintain database on energy related issues and their dissemination
  • Help conduct surveys and analyse the data collected on the Energy curriculum

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required (minimum)
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Work on time constraints and abele to meet tight deadlines
  4. Proficient in basic computer programs particularly, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, adobe Photoshop, etc.
  5. Good command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of Thai will be an advantage.
  6. 1-2 years’ experience work
  7. Experience in creating, maintaining and using databases; carrying out surveys and its interpretation
  • Duration: 6 months (August 2019 to January 2020), with possibility of extension.
