Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for faculty positions at Assistant or Associate Professor level with the following specialization;

Position: Faculty in Mechatronics
Responsibilities

• Conducting all academic activities including teaching and research in the subject area of specialization.
• Supervising master and doctoral student thesis work and publish outputs in recognized                      international journals.
• Developing partnership with industries, government and international agencies.
• Attracting sponsored research projects.
• Participating in promotion activities to recruit students, short training courses, conferences/ seminars,        and other professional activities.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a doctoral degree from a well-recognized university/ institution with a strong                            research background and interest in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Advanced                            Control, Machine Vision, Micro/Nano Robotics, Bio Robotics, Brain-Machine Interface.
• Competences in teaching and carrying out research at the post graduate level.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Exposure to the problems and prospects in the Asia Region will be an advantage.

Preference will be given to candidates who will combine excellence in teaching with a demonstrated capacity to conduct novel, interdisciplinary research that will expand and complement the current departmental research strengths. The program is interdisciplinary in nature; therefore, we seek for a candidate who can bring engineering and science perspectives together. The suitable candidate will be appointed at the earliest possible date initially for a period of two years with strong possibility of extension.

The salary offered to the successful candidate is regionally competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
