Qualifications:

The candidate for the Student Welfare Officer in the Career Center & Student Welfare Unit must have the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in administrative work
  2. Experience in medical insurance administration and liaising with companies
  3. Good knowledge of computer software
  4. Some knowledge of accounting
  5. Fluent in English and Thai both in writing and speaking
  6. Able to work well in a team-oriented environment

The Student Welfare Officer should be a team-oriented individual that is able to interface effectively with management and external organizations. We are looking for an individual with organizational skills that can take charge of medical insurance administration and network with companies for the bi-annual Career Fair. The candidate must be flexible and adaptable in order to function under diverse cultural environment at AIT. Fluency in basic word processing, PowerPoint and Excel (with statistics experience) are encouraged. A person with adequate computing skills and office administration is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform general administrative works in the office
  2. Assist in medical insurance administration and database management
  3. Advice students regarding medical insurance claims and processing of documents
  4. Liaise with medical insurance contacts and related organizations/hospitals for follow-up of claims and emergency related matters
  5. Assist in Career Center related matters, i.e. organizing Career Fairs and other Career Center activities
  6. Provide information to queries from students, alumni and companies regarding career opportunities and placements;
  7. Liaise with companies for job/scholarship/internship advertisements to the Institute;
  8. Responsible for maintaining office and replenishment of office supplies;
  9. Responsible for routing of office documents;
  10. Maintain functional filing system;
  11. Perform other related tasks in the Office of Student Affairs
