Qualifications and Experience

  • A BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, together with working experience is preferred. 
  • Familiar in doing research and development in drone and UAV for aerial mapping.
  • Deliver hardware operational and reference materials for project partners.
  • Ready to learn and adapt to new technologies in order to enhance the efficiency of project.

Skill and Capabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Knowledge of Electronics and Robotics
  • Knowledge of CAD Designing and Rapid Prototyping (3D printing)
  • Knowledge of System architecture / Machine Designing
  • Knowledge in writing programs using the C and Python programming languages
  • Ability to work with various software such as SOLIDWORKS, Siemens NX, and many open-source software
  • Confident in troubleshooting drones and repairing
  • Confident in skills and eager to improve
  • Willing to share knowledge to improve the project outcomes
  • Willing to travel to carry out project implementation
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical support in hardware development at GIC
  • Deliver study material for student training sessions
  • Carrying out hardware feasibility studies for upcoming projects
  • Provide detailed CAD models of hardware and rapid prototyping (3D printing) for system optimization
  • Support to IoT CCTV camera developments under the EU-INSPIRE project (https://inspire-europe.org/)
  • Other duties as assigned by an immediate supervisor and the Director
