Job Description of IT Officer:
- Maintain and administer the ISE Department LAN by reviewing/monitoring to check abnormal indications and ensured internet and all related services are functioning at optimum efficiency; minimized network down time; and, assured server data integrity and security
- Manage anywhere-printer for the department.
- Assist the students to install educational software such as of Siemens, Solidworks, Matlab and etc.
- Manage Microsoft IIS servers, DHCP servers, Domain servers, Print Server
- Manage Licensed Server of Ansys, Solidworks, Unigraphics (using Flexnet)
- Maintain, develop and upgrade the Website of ISE Department
- Maintain, develop and upgrade the vclass website http://msie.vclass.net
- Set up and assist faculty when using hybrid classroom
- Facilitate student and faculty’s research and outreach activities
- Keeps Meeting room equipment, Hybrid Classroom, Projector and Printer in working order and good condition.
- Send daily class video recording to enrolled students and instructors
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Assist in the identification and procurement of Lab equipment, placement of orders, etc.
- Assist and participate in some department’s project by Planning, coordination, and ethics and worked with various startups on launching new websites and services that required in the projects.
- Operate as an admin in ISE Facebook page.
- Other duties as assigned by Department head or Faculty.
Required Qualifications:
- At least Bachelor Degree in IT software, Computer science, Computer Engineering or Related field.
- Good knowledge in computer hardware, software, maintenance and safety activities.
- Good command in English both oral and written
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, balance and prioritize multiple requests, in a multi-cultural environment.
- Self-starter, who applies individual initiative to get the job done with attention to details.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 2–3-year (s) work experience.
