Brief Description:

The Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible to support the school’s online marketing efforts, to strengthen collaborations, digital advertisements and brand's digital presence. The Digital Marketing Officer, will work closely with the Dean, Heads, Chairs, Office of the Dean’s staff, internal teams/committees, programs/departments to ensure that all digital marketing initiatives align with the goals and objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, develop and maintain the school’s website ensuring it is updated regularly.​
  • Liaise with relevant members of staff to ensure their areas of the website are kept up-to-date and there is a balanced representation of the school online. 
  • Proofread, edit and create accurate and engaging content from a range of sources for publication on the school website, and social media platforms. 
  • Manage the school’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn; to actively engage with online stakeholders, at all times appropriately and positively representing the aims and ethos of the school. 
  • Monitor all social media channels on a daily basis and to create regular analytic reports; to be aware of research, developments and best practice in social media, SEO and web content, and champion new ideas and initiatives. 
  • Create dynamic photo galleries and take photographs and video footage for the website and social media where a professional photographer is not available. 
  • Research and pitch new creative ideas for digital campaigns, linking all aspects of school communications. 
  • Collaborate with the Dean, Heads, Chairs, Office of the Dean’s staff, internal teams/committees, programs/departments to ensure alignment of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Carry out other supportive responsibilities as required by the Dean.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s  degree or qualification in (digital) marketing, communications and media  or related field.
  • Industry experience of website content management and managing and monitoring social media, including the use of third-party software. 
  • A high level of creativity and innovation to produce effective and engaging content of a consistently high quality, ensuring a professional and corporate image is presented at all times.
  • Excellent copywriting and proofing skills. 
  • A flexible and ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work within a team structure and collaborate well with the team. 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels and other key stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet simultaneous deadlines. 

Skills:  

  • Proficiency in using InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Video editing skills 
  • Knowledge of contemporary social media trends 
  • Experience of, or familiarity with, the education marketing & communications sector
